As Bid Writer, you will be expected to write on a range of bids and projects for various clients. As part of the HealthBid ops team, you will have freedom to determine how to spend your time, within the framework of the projects set out by the COO/DCOO.

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who enjoys writing, with a natural and assured style. As a writer, you will get the opportunity to work on a variety of healthcare projects in different teams. We embrace different writing styles within an agile process and a comprehensive training plan. A desire to learn and a good eye for detail are key. 

As Bid Writer, you will be expected to write on a range of bids and projects for various clients. As part of the HealthBid ops team, you will have freedom to determine how to spend your time, within the framework of the projects set out by the COO/DCOO.

Detailed Description

The Bid Writer is responsible for writing on a series of bid projects, as set out by the COO/DCOO.

These activities may involve travel across the UK where safe and appropriate, which will be reimbursed in line with Bidding Limited’s expenses policy, and an expectation to come into the office when required.

 Working on a Bid

When assessing the operational priorities for the business, the COO/DCOO will assign bids to the Bid Writer in the context of a specific project team led by a Bid Manager (this could be a Bid Manager, a Senior Bid Manager, Deputy COO, and/or COO). As part of a bid, they will then be expected to:

  • Support the Manager in preparing Bid Admin 
  • Research the client and the opportunity
  • Attend key meetings (e.g. Pink and Red Teams)
  • Participate in internal storyboarding sessions
  • Write questions as allocated by the Manager to set timescales
  • Participate in the review process:
  • React to ongoing internal QA
  • React to external RED Team feedback
  • Onboard and learn from feedback received
  • Support delivery of a bid for review by a Senior Ops member ahead of submission to the client as directed by the Manager
  • Support with upload activity as directed by the Manager
  • Ensure compliance with and adherence to HealthBid methodology
  • Any other related processes

For Plan activity, they will be expected to work on a range of assignments, including research and analysis, as directed by the Senior Plan Manager, and Tier 1 asset as appropriate.

All of the above will be managed under the supervision of the COO/DCOO, and using all the resources of the business as appropriate.

 

As a Member of the Bid Team

As a member of the Bid Team, the Bid Writer may be asked to carry out any of the actions above as part of a project managed by either the COO/DCOO, or another member of the team.

They will attend weekly team meetings, including:

  • MD’s meeting
  • Heads Out

Within the context of the BidEngine model, they will remain agile to support other team members on differing projects as the need arises.

Additional Responsibilities

The Bid Writer may be asked to participate in:

  • Business Development activities, such as attending sales meetings or conferences
  • Supporting with induction of new Bid Writers
  • Training activities
  • Strategic planning of the business
  • Other activities deemed appropriate by the COO/DCOO
